EMDR Consultation For Therapists
A supportive, collaborative forum for EMDR therapists to deepen understanding, sharpen skills, and be met with care—helping you move confidently toward certification or a more practiced, mindful approach.
As a Consultant in Training (CIT) through EMDRIA under Angie Heath, I offer compassionate, trauma-informed supervision and consultation to EMDR therapists who are pursuing certification and want to deepen their clinical skills.
I offer…
Individual CIT Consultation
One-on-one sessions designed to support your EMDRIA certification journey and expand your clinical repertoire. We’ll review cases, refine assessment and treatment planning, and integrate somatic techniques and attachment-informed considerations to enhance safety, regulation, and efficacy.
Group CIT Consultation
Small-group sessions (up to 4 therapists maximum) for collaborative learning, case discussion, and peer feedback. These sessions emphasize your pace, practice flexibility, and accountability while aligning with EMDRIA standards.
Practice-Blending Sessions (Optional Add-On)
Focused sessions on integrating somatic skills, attachment theory, and Ketamine-Assisted EMDR (KAP) into your sessions—covering safety, dosing considerations (where appropriate), legal and ethical considerations, and documentation.
How it works
Schedule & Format
Choose individual or group consultations based on your needs and certification timeline. Sessions are scheduled by mutual availability with a clear agenda for each meeting.
Case Readiness
Bring representative cases or treatment challenges. We’ll map out phase-based EMDR work, trauma-informed containment, and where somatic interventions or attachment work can augment processing.
Documentation & Accountability
After each session, you’ll receive summaries, action steps, and references aligned with EMDRIA standards to support your certification portfolio.
Safety & Ethics
All consultations uphold strict confidentiality and ethical practice, with attention to client safety, consent, and legal considerations around somatic work and psychedelic-assisted modalities.
Blending somatic, attachment-focused, and KAP in sessions
Somatic integration: I’ll help you incorporate body-centered techniques to regulate the nervous system, ground the client, and support memory processing without re-traumatization.
Attachment-focused care: We’ll assess and address attachment patterns that influence regulation, trust, and relationship dynamics, guiding you to build secure therapeutic alliances.
Ketamine-Assisted EMDR (KAP): When appropriate and legally compliant, we’ll discuss how KAP can complement EMDR by supporting neuroplasticity and experiential learning, with careful attention to dosing, safety, and integration. We’ll cover contraindications, informed consent, and integration practices to ensure ethical, client-centered care.
Clinical pacing and safety: You’ll learn to tailor the pace of processing to the client’s nervous system, set clear containment boundaries, and monitor for destabilization, ensuring humane, compassionate care.
